Scoot has extended the cancellation of flights between Singapore Changi Airport and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah until 31 May 2026 because of ongoing security concerns linked to conflict in the Middle East. The suspension covers flight TR796 from Singapore and return service TR797 from Jeddah, both of which have been off the schedule since 28 February, and the airline has said no other Scoot services will operate on the route between 19 April and 31 May. Singapore Airlines has also suspended flights to and from Dubai until the same date. Because the disruption is tied to circumstances outside the airlines' control, compensation is usually unlikely, but affected passengers should still be offered refunds, alternative travel options, and care during longer waits.

Disruption details

Scoot will keep flights between Singapore Changi Airport and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah suspended through 31 May 2026 as conflict in the Middle East continues to affect airline operations.

For passengers, this means more disrupted travel plans, new rebooking decisions, and continued uncertainty on a route that has already been affected for weeks. Scoot said the safety of its customers and crew remains its top priority and apologized for the disruption.

The first wave of cancellations began on 28 February 2026 after United States and Israeli strikes on Iran raised security concerns in the region. Scoot initially aimed to restart the service on 16 April 2026, but its latest advisory, published on 28 April 2026, confirmed a second extension through the end of May.

The latest extension means:

  • TR796 from Singapore to Jeddah is canceled through 31 May 2026.

  • TR797 from Jeddah to Singapore is also canceled through 31 May 2026.

  • No other Scoot flights will operate on the Singapore–Jeddah route between 19 April 2026 and 31 May 2026.

Scoot also confirmed on 1 May 2026 that an additional Jeddah rotation planned for 18 April 2026 had been pulled for the same reason. Across the full suspension window from 28 February 2026 to 31 May 2026, the Singapore–Jeddah service would normally operate several times each week, so the extension removes dozens of scheduled rotations.

The wider disruption is not limited to Jeddah. Singapore Airlines has separately suspended flights to and from Dubai International Airport through 31 May 2026, showing how the regional conflict is affecting multiple routes from Singapore.

If you're booked on one of the affected services, Scoot says you can claim a full refund or be rebooked on an alternative Scoot flight. Travelers who booked through an agent should contact the agent directly, and the airline has urged passengers to keep their contact details up to date so they can receive operational alerts.
