For travel blogger Julianna Barnaby Essaouira, Morocco gets her vote:-

“The old walled city comes to life in the full sunshine with a bustling central medina. The maze of alleys are lined up with shops, stalls and restaurants. Essaouira is a big surfing spot and the springtime temperatures are perfect for spending hours outdoors.”

Travel guru Marina Cholakova believes that Tulum is gorgeous during spring because, at that time, it’s not yet crammed with tourists making it easier to enjoy the “tropical jungle meets Caribbean sea, reefs and cenotes”.

When sought after travel and lifestyle photographer Bobbi Klein wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, she loves to take an amazing sailing trip around the NaPali coast in Kauai, Hawaii.

The travel experts at Viland Travel believe that the temperature in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam during springtime make it the perfect place to go on holiday. During spring, “Ha Long Bay starts to become lush with green mountain vegetation. Their 1969 limestone islets were voted as one of the ‘New Wonders of the Natural World.”

In a recent article we explained that as peak times like Christmas and summertime were the most popular periods of the year to travel, those peak times were likely to be the most expensive times to go on vacation. However, shoulder season (the period between the high and low seasons of your destination of choice) is a great time to book tickets.

What does this mean for spring travellers?

For one thing, if you time your spring vacation right, you could visit some of the most beautiful places in the world for a fraction of the price.

Travel for the ‘Gram: Beautiful Places to Visit in the World

To celebrate their global community of 800 people, Instagram closed 2017 with a report that showcased their community’s most popular moments. Part of this data included the most Instagrammed cities in the world. In order of preference, the top three winning cities were New York, Moscow and London.

There is no denying that each of these popular places has their stunning qualities. Nonetheless, when choosing our Instagrammable locales, we veered a bit off the beaten track.

Stone Town, Tanzania

Iconic Hollywood films like Out of Africa have perpetuated the belief that the beauty in the African continent can be seen primarily in its safaris. However, Africa’s charm can also be found when exploring its assorted cultures, history and art scene.

Take Stone Town, for example, travel writer Stephanie Parker claims that:-

“From the moment I strolled along Stone Town’s seafront promenade with my backpack on my back, gazing at the turquoise Indian Ocean, smelling the spiced tea and hot grilling chapattis… I was hooked.”

Beautiful places in the world

The Stone Town of Zanzibar is situated on the western coast of Unguja and surrounded by the Indian Ocean. This urban cultural unit is a melting point of Arabic, Indian, European and African cultures. As you can imagine, this makes the locale rich with distinctive features that are perfect for your Instagram Feed.

If you are looking for ‘Grammable spots in Stone Town, the choices are endless. Pose in front of the city’s iconic crumbling but beautiful wooden doors adorned with floral motifs and studs. Capture the exotic delicacies served at the various street markets.

Stone Town’s stunning manifestation of culture and tradition makes it an ideal place to escape and explore.

Cienfuegos, Cuba

Havana is often thought of as the go-to city in Cuba. Whilst Cuba has a lot to offer, there is no doubt in our minds that the most beautiful places in the world are not always the most popular. That is certainly the case for Cienfuegos, or as it’s otherwise known the ‘Pearl of the South’.

Located on Bahia de Cienfuegos, a bay on Cuba’s south coast Trips to Discover labeled the city as the “nation’s best-kept secret”.

If your Instagram Feed has been suffering a dull and dry spell, images from Cienfuegos will up your Instagram game. Sit on the coral red rhinoceros bench in the famous sculpture park, take a tour of Laguna Guanaroca and feast your eyes on the colorful piercing-pink flamingos and emerald-green hummingbirds.

The wide streets are dotted with eye-catching French and Spanish colonial architecture and the art scene is brimming with talented creatives.

Beauty on a Budget: Affordable Tropical Destinations

Although we welcome the warmer weather of spring, the perks of an affordable tropical destination are highly alluring for couples and single people.
For newlyweds, after bearing the brunt of wedding expenses, many couples prefer a tropical getaway that won’t break the bank.

If you are single or want to travel with a group of friends, a beach hideaway with all the benefits and none of the lofty expenses is a no-brainer.

Negril, Jamaica

When it comes to affordable tropical destinations, this beach resort town in western Jamaica ranks high on our list. Negril makes a great substitute for those who want to enjoy the memorable sandy spots in Montego Bay without incurring the sky-high expenses.

Located about an hour-and-a-half from Montego Bay, Negril is well known for its mix of affordable hotels and more expensive lodgings.
Girl Gone Travel recommends an exhilarating horse ride along the Blue Mountains in an old coffee farm.

For something more relaxing, there is Seven Mile Beach with its wide stretch of golden sand. Treat yourself to a refreshing dip in the vivid Caribbean sea or take a leap of faith into the Blue Hole Mineral Spring. To wind down, enjoy a memorable sunset from a friendly beach bar.

Phuket, Thailand

Admittedly, booking a trip to Thailand’s largest island is likely to tug at your purse strings. However, once you’re there, it’s possible to keep your living expenses low.

Despite Phuket being a global magnet for experienced divers and beach lovers, it’s possible to find lodging prices at approximately $200/night.
If that doesn’t get you packing your bags, the attractive low rates, stretching from accommodation to shops and restaurants will.

Make My Trip recommends that “the best way to relish the scenery of the steep limestone karsts projecting straight up the water is to take a boat ride from the northern end of Phuket.”

After tying the knot, many newlyweds look forward to spending quality time with their significant other.

Whilst some couples crave a Mediterranean adventure rich in culture, others may prefer a lavish trip with all the trimmings.

No matter the destination, what unites all newlyweds is their preference to travel somewhere picturesque for their honeymoon.

Venice, Italy
