    • Will I still have to pay if the case is lost in court?

      AirHelp’s fees are based on whether we are successful and deliver you the compensation you’re owed. So if we lose the case in court, and you don’t get your payout, there will be no fee.

      In short, you will not have to pay anything unless the case is won and you receive your money.

    • How and when will I receive my compensation?

      We pride ourselves on the secure and quick method we use to pay out our customers. Once we receive your rightful compensation and verify the payment, you will be asked to input your details on our website. You may use one of the following methods below, depending on where your bank is located and whether or not you submitted your claim via an Online Travel Agency (OTA):

    • How much do I have to pay you?

      AirHelp is dedicated to helping air passengers in every way we can. If we can’t help, we don’t charge any fee whatsoever.

      If we succeed in getting you your compensation, all of our fees are explained in the Price List. Essentially, the basic cost is 25% of the compensation received for our regular customers and 35% of passengers who submitted claims through an Online Travel Agency (OTA).

      If we have to take your case to court, we will implement a legal action fee to help us cover the legal costs involved in your case. The legal action fee will amount to 50% of the total value of your compensation. This rate is fixed: we will never charge more than that, no matter what.

      The fees we charge include every element of the claims process: our communication with the airline, all the professional assistance we provide across multiple channels, the preparation and undertaking of legal action if necessary. So, once your claim is with us, you sit back and relax. We’ll take care of the rest.

    • What are IBAN and SWIFT numbers and where can I find them?

      An IBAN is your unique bank account number and is used for international bank transfers. It consists of the country code, two check digits and your bank account number.

      A SWIFT or BIC code is used to identify the financial institution, its location and the particular branch of bank.

      You might not have seen these numbers before, but you do have them and both numbers can be found on a bank statement. You can also find these numbers if you log on to your personal Internet Banking site.

    • Why do I need to call PayPal?

      You should call PayPal in order to confirm that your limits are removed and inform them that you expect xxx amount of money sent to your account. If you don’t do this, it can sometimes take longer to get your money.

      Here’s how you do it:

      1. Log in to your PayPal account
      2. Go to “Contact”
      3. Select “Call us”
      4. Call the given number. You will be asked for a unique number which helps PayPal identify you.
    • How do I change the ‘receiving limit’ on Paypal?

      • After logging in to PayPal, click “See how much you can send with PayPal” in the bottom left-hand corner.
      • Select “Receiving limit per year” and click the “Lift Limits” button.
      • Click on “Provide identification” and upload two required documents.
      • Upload required documents.Then send the files when both documents are uploaded successfully.
    • How do I unblock foreign currencies and create a EUR account on PayPal?

      1. After logging in to PayPal, click the “Wallet” tab on the main page
      2. Then click “Paypal balance”
      3. Select “Manage currencies”
      4. The next step is to add a new currency (EUR)
      5. This will open a EUR balance for your account



    • What is PayPal?

      PayPal is an international platform for payments and money transfers. Here are the four steps you will need to complete while using PayPal:

      1. Verify your account
      2. Unblock foreign currencies / create EUR account
      3. Remove “Receiving limit”
      4. Call PayPal

      When you’ve ticked off these steps, you’ll be able to receive your money from AirHelp.

    • How do I get verified on PayPal?

      1. After logging in to PayPal, click the “Wallet” tab on main page.
      2. To verify your account, link either your bank account or credit card by clicking on the “link a card or bank” button.
      3. After linking and selecting the account back in the “Wallet” tab, PayPal will ask you to enter your bank details to link your bank account and your PayPal account.
      4. Your account will be charged a small amount for confirmation*. Enter the code in the title of the charge made to your account, then click Submit.

      (*The random deposits are temporary, and will eventually be debited from your bank account statement.)

    • Do I need to pay transfer fees to get my compensation?

      All of the transfer methods we use at AirHelp are completely free. In some instances, PayPal may charge you for withdrawing the money, and banks can charge customers for check processing. But AirHelp charges no fees at all for any form of payment.
